A top\npriority of the National Turkey\nFederation (NTF), the USMCA would preserve the turkey industry\u2019s trade\nrelationship with Mexico, by far the largest export market for U.S. turkey\nproducts. Since 2014, over 60 percent of\nU.S. turkey exports have gone to Mexico. Ensuring this partnership remains\nuninterrupted and has room to grow is paramount. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The USMCA also\nprovides for new trade opportunities with Canada. If ratified, the USMCA would\nallow for a 29 percent increase in U.S. turkey exports to Canada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The expansion of U.S.\nturkey products\u2019 access to more foreign markets not only benefits the economy,\nbut also sustains thousands of American jobs and allows turkey producers to\nprovide a healthful, nutritious protein option to countries across the globe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
America\u2019s turkey farmers are looking for greater certainty in the status of important trade relationships with our neighbors \u2013 we need the USMCA now.
