Zimmerman has been raising turkeys for over 20 years on his farm, where he and his family have raised approximately 4 to 5 million turkeys. In addition to turkey farming, the Zimmerman family also grows corn and soybeans to support their flocks. While in Washington, D.C., the turkeys stayed at the historic Willard InterContinental, adjacent to the White House grounds. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay as the guests of honor. The Presidential Turkeys were introduced to the public during a special media event at the hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On November 25, Zimmerman presented the National Thanksgiving Turkeys named \u201cPeach\u201d and &#8220;Blossom&#8221; to President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatturkey.org\/2024\/11\/25\/minnesota-turkeys-pardoned-by-president-biden-2\/\">2024 National Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation<\/a> at the White House South Lawn. As part of this longstanding tradition, the Presidential Turkeys received a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/fu9ONL1gQl0?si=ma9oB9m3Iq5aR1f2\">formal pardon from the president<\/a>, and the turkeys now reside at Farmamerica, Minnesota\u2019s Center for Agricultural Interpretation, in Waseca, Minnesota..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Peach &amp; Blossom in Retirement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Farmamerica is now where Peach and Blossom spend their days as agricultural ambassadors for the state of Minnesota.
